The Ukulele Case

So today I thought I'd share with you something that I made a while back; my Ukulele Case.

About a year and a half ago - before I even picked up the uke - I found an old suitcase at a second hand market. Set me back about $20. The original plan was to use it to hold a bunch of different percussion instruments.

However, this plan never became fully realised and instead the case lived beside my bed for, well, ages. In the meantime I purchased a beautiful ukulele and proceeded to carry it about in my backpack, held together by a safety pin, with the neck sticking out the top.

Eventually I realised that the case was the perfect size to case my uke, so I went to Clark Rubber, had the shape of my uke cut out of foam, glues it in place, covered it with lush fur, painted the case and voila!:

Okay so I haven't quite finished painting it yet, but I will... soon... maybe?

Sewing Cupboard

So I'm in a bit of a storage phase at the moment, partly because I've got a room full of stuff that is stored in a particularly uneconomical fashion, but also because the GF is moving in (Hurrah!), and she's got stuff too. So, space must be made! Today I reorganised my cupboard that was originally stuffed to the brim full of blankets: 

And now it fits both my blankets and sewing stuff!:

And so pretty :)

Hamper: An Open Canvas

So yesterday the GF and I were taking my house mates puppies for a walk when we stumbled upon the local second hand store. Out the front was this:

Perfect, right? But what to do with it? My first instict is to paint it like a sunset, but I think I'll leave it white for the moment until the rest of the room is on it's way, that way I can coordinate it with everything else. Any ideas? Haylz x

Park Fun Times

So this morning I headed to the park ,with Bo Bantarians en towe. You see, we've managed to acquire a contact with a well known cabaret performer and decided to send her a DIY vid to hopefully convince her to cover one of our songs for our upcoming EP - Happy Stabby. Throughout the morning we pranced, danced, grooved and chased a bondage llama, much to the bemusement of the local families and hipsters chilling in the park for Good Friday. Below are a few quick pics, Cazrielle is currently editing said vid, it'll be ready to post next week!
