Bedspiration

I've been planning to re-do my bed for freakin ages, and given that it's been a while since I worked on the room I figured it's about time I I got cracking! So, first things first, some inspiration...

I loooooove the grogeous colours in the throw on this bed, and the cusions are cute as hell!

This is the best looking bed ever, and pretty close to what I'm going for. I've been collection some awesome pillow cases which I plan to share with you later this week :)

I've stared crocheting a granny throw like this one, but I keep getting lazy. Time to put my nose back to the crochet hook, if you catch my drift...

Party Time!

We've got this mini bonfire thing in our backyard so we decided to invite all of our friends over this Friday night to enjoy our bonfire thing. Yay!

It's freezing, so to compliment the bonfire thing we're also planning to make some awesome warm alcoholic drinks like mulled wine, mulled cider and chai with yummy frangelico. Mmmmm...

I also have this thing where I like to go all out for parties, in terms of decorations etc. Given that I'm on a serious budget I thought I'd have a bit of a peek around the interwebs for inspiration. Here's what I've found thus far:

Bondi & Bunnies Part 2

So after working killing time shopping and reading (see here) it was finally time to head to Sin and Stefs - brandishing the delicious-looking pecan pie I'd picked up along the way

The place they were sitting was the cutest ever. Seriously, check out the kitchen wallpaper!

And... drumroll please... the BUNNIES!

So while peeps were away Stef has been keeping her fine self busy painting this mural:

I let her know that when Carly J and I have our own place she is DEFINITELY painting one for us.

After a delicious meal and a few drinks we decided that it was best to stay the night. This also meant that although Carly J had to ride of into the sinrise at 6am the following morning to get to work in time, I could head with the gals down to Zohara Cafe! Check out Zehavit in the kitchen (she owns this adorable little cafe with her partner, Shelley):

And here are the ladies! Sin, Zehavit and Stef. Sin wasn't thrilled at the idea of having a photo without her hair done, but she sucked it up like the little trooper she is!

Bondi & Bunnies Part 1

Earlier this week Carly J and I made plans to visit our friends Sin and Stef at the hosue they were sitting in North Bondi. There were two strong motivators in this plan - 1. visiting our friends, and 2. meeting the adorable bunnies and guinea pigs they were sitting!

Thing was, I had a shift earlier that day working in a renovated Airstream van that now houses an entire burger cooking kitchen, currently parked at the Bondi Winter Magic Festival.

The festival in and of itself was pretty tiny, but pretty cute. Ice-skating, giant fresh donuts, free chai and bratwurst at our fingertips - it's a shame the festival didn't garner the attention it deserved.

I finished my shift at 3pm, but dinner wasn't planned until 6:30, which left me with 3 and a half hours to kill, and kill I did! There's a great vinnies at Bondi Beach, so I headed up for a look-see.

I scored the best.sheets.ever as well as a cute pillow case

I also picked up a Holga for $5. Seriously. Needs a little fixing up but I figured it was well worth it.

On the way back I found some pretty sweet beachy-themed street art

Then I realised that I still had an hour to kill, so I fashioned a cushion out of my sheets and rested on the grass with my new favourite book ever: The Family Law - By Benjamin Law. I nearly wet myself approximately 5 times in the very first chapter.

Seriously, how cute is his photo on the back? I just want to ruffle his hair!
