This evening I did not do a lot. I wasn't feeling too crash hot so my original plans to head to the gym for a pump class then follow it up with a few drinks at Freaky Tiki fell through, and I spent the majority of the evening watching 30 Rock, stuffing my face full of Crust pizza and trying to perfect my cover of "Crazy in Love" by Beyonce. Charming, I know. Then, whilst rummaging through my fabric cupboard for heaven-knows-what I stumbled upon somthing that I haven't touched since my second year of University - bags!
My uni was out west so I had to move away fromhome to attend, and given that it was also one of the more particularly laid back unis in Aus, I also had around 13 face-to-face hours per week. So other than working around 20hrs and, well, socialising, I had a HEAP of free time on my hands to create. So I did. I also received a Janome from my lovely Grandmother in the same year so I went on a bit of a sewing rampage - the main project was these calico bags that I used to customise with felt (see below!).
In my third year I was sharing a room so my sewing got a little left behind, then in my fourth I was an RA, ran the uni paper and had a BF all on top of finishing my double degree - so my time was significantly tighter. But finding these has sparked my creative bone and got me thinking about picking it up again... hmm...
